Prevention is the best way to fight acne
Wash your face twice a day with warm water and a daily facial cleanser
Cleanse skin thoroughly by gently messaging face in circular motions
Over washing and excessive scrubbing can cause skin irritation
Don’t pop pimples – by popping pimples you actually increase the chances of pushing infected material further into your skin, leading to more swelling and redness
Avoid touching your face with your fingers
If you wear glasses or sunglasses always make sure to clean them frequently to keep oil from clogging your pores
If you have body acne, avoid wearing tight clothing – try an acne cleanser in the shower
Remove all make-up before going to bed
Keep hair clean and off your face to prevent added dirt and oil from clogging your pores
Protect your skin from the sun
Drink lots of water – helps to hydrate the skin
Wash your gym/sports uniforms and equipment frequently
Change/wash pillow cases, sheets, face cloths and towels often
Clean make-up brushes and sponges regularly
